The Help Button
Privacy Policy
Effective August 20, 2026
The Help Button respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it and the choices you have when you visit our website, schedule an appointment or receive technology-help services.
Information we collect
We may collect your name, phone number, email address, appointment details, service address for in-home visits, the type of device or technology issue you describe, payment information and communications you send to us. We may also receive basic website-use information such as browser type, device type and pages visited.
How we use information
We use your information to schedule and provide services, communicate about appointments, process payments, respond to questions, maintain appropriate business records, improve our services and protect customers and the business from fraud or misuse.
Scheduling and service providers
Online appointments are scheduled through Microsoft Bookings. Information entered there is also handled under Microsoft’s privacy practices. We may use reputable service providers for email, payments, website hosting and other business operations. They receive only the information reasonably necessary to provide those services.
Secure client forms
Scheduled clients may receive a private, expiring link to complete intake, authorization and electronic-signature records. The link is intended only for that client and should not be forwarded. Completed records include the information submitted, the agreement version, the typed signature, the signing time and a verification value. Clients may open their private link after signing to retain or print a copy.
Device access, passwords and personal content
Technology support may require temporary access to your device, screen, settings, accounts or files. Access occurs only with your knowledge and permission and only as reasonably necessary to perform the requested service. Whenever possible, you should enter passwords and verification codes yourself. The Help Button does not intentionally record or retain your passwords, security codes, private photographs, messages or account contents.
Sharing your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share information with service providers as described above, when you direct us to do so, when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect someone’s safety, rights or property.
Data retention and security
We keep customer and transaction information only as long as reasonably needed for service, legal, tax and business-record purposes. We use reasonable safeguards, but no website, email, device or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices
You may ask to review, correct or delete personal information we maintain, subject to legal and business-record requirements. You may also ask us to stop nonessential communications.
Children’s privacy
Our services are intended for adults. A parent or legal guardian must arrange and supervise services for anyone under 18.
Policy updates
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. The effective date above will show the latest revision.
